Woolworths (Explored)

A few tears were shed when the last Woolworths closed down. Not by me though - I don't share this sentiment. Woolies was full of tacky shit when I was a kid and was full of the same tacky shit when it closed its doors for the last time this year. This is the St Ives branch - one of the only chain stores on the harbour-front. I'm glad it's gone. Let the buskers move in, as far as I'm concerned...

      I loved Woolworths growing up.
Sure most of the place had crap but there was always something you could find to use there.
Plus, the alternative of the mega-nightmare Walmart makes me miss the smaller Woolies chain even more.

Hmm, never even heard of Woolworths let alone stepped foot inside of one. This however is an awesome image! Love the tones.

Golly I hope they replaced Woolworths with a classier tenant like Walgreens, CVS, or... (dare we dream) ... a Dollar Store!
