Chicago Sisters (1964)

    Newer Older

This photo was taken in April 1964. That's my mom with her older sister (by 10 years!). They are standing in front of their bungalow on Holbrook Street near Milwaukee and Elston. When my mom was 14, the family moved to a ranch house next to Norwood Park.

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called The Bungalow, Chicago-style, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

This is a FANTASTIC vintage shot! I wish I had some of these of the bungalow my wife and I moved into a couple years ago...maybe in 40 years, we'll have some of our own to look back at! :)

Thanks! My mom always talks about how she misses her bungalow and she sat and cried below her stained glass windows when they moved.

Yesterday and today. Those bungalows were well built and will last forever with some TLC.
