Construction makes headway on energy-efficient 'Passivhauser' project

Staff Sgt. Fank Brown, AFN Bulvaria, interviews James McPeak, project engineer, NAU, on the site of the $52 million Urlas townhouses. Twenty-two of these house are "Passivhauser" or passive homes. The houses are named this because of their energy efficient design. The units would use about one-fourth the energy consumed by a standard German home. (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers photo by Carol E.
