I absolutley took my canon on a kayak this weekend! Let me get my
head examined. It was terrifying but thrilling! And I hadn't canoed
in years! Of course I went on a couple of runs before I took the
camera along. The kayak brings it's own set of photo taking
challenges...pics this week might not be the best...but it definitely
something I will be doing more of! I'm now in the market for a kayak
and a zoom lens....

By the way ~ if you downloaded your shot from your camera to a notebook PC ~ and then uploaded the shot from your notebook PC over a wireless to Flickr ~ all while you were sitting on the lake in your kayak ~ please don't tell me.... I don't think my ego could handle it....

Fantastic shot! You're much braver than I. My first trip out on a kayak ended up with my new Sony camera on the bottom of the Snake River. I was able to salvage the camera and purchased a kayak a couple of weeks later. I still use a point-and-shoot on the kayak, however.

Thanks, Robinsegg...I have to say...the cove at the lake is a lot calmer than a river. I made it a point to stay away from the boats (rush hour w/ the people who go out fishing). I kept the camera around my neck with a freezer bag & towel over it. :-)
