Thanks for the memory Project 365 Day 277
When I ordered my new netbook, I also ordered a memory upgrade to take it to 2Gb. It might seem like overkill but memory is so cheap these days it isn't worth limiting the performance of a computer by stinting on it.
The observant ones amongst you (I mean Pete) will recognise that this is the 1Gb of memory that came out of the machine (the name Samsung printed on the chips is a good clue). The upgrade is installed and up and running.
Now what to do with a slightly used spare 1Gb of memory :-)

You see if it will go in the old netbook of course!
Or just keep it in a drawer in case your new RAM fails and you're in a hole. And I'm sure you changed it whilst wearing an anti-static strap. Or something like that. ;)

I changed it in the kitchen where I could touch the cold water tap which I am sure goes to earth.
Have you read the instructions for changing the memory in an Acer Apire One :-( You have to dismantle the thing from the top down to get to the memory slot at the bottom.
