Under a Grey Sky

Under a Grey Sky

You don't usually get ships this big tied up to Erith Pier, especially not in the size of the 'Willeke' anyway. But we spied both the 'Mare' (Kingstown) and the 'Willeke' (Netherlands) tied up to Eriths best attraction on a recent Sunday. No doubt the crews were busy restocking their galley's from Morrisons a few yards away! As you can see from how high they sit in the water, they were both pretty much empty at the time.

Feeding Time

Feeding Time

A feeding frenzy off of Erith Pier. 'Mare' and 'Willeke' are tied up to the pier in the background.

The Thin Red Line

The Thin Red Line

A Line of London Buses (and one open top Tourist Bus) stretch across Waterloo Bridge. Their were more than this but I couldn't fit them all in!

RMA at Night

RMA at Night

I've snapped a few Routemaster Variants in this spot over time, odd considering it's a Double Yellow! This is an RMA, An especially built or converted RM to be an Airport Bus (hence the 'A' in RMA) meaning a front door (just visible) better seats and luggage room.

The Way Back In.

The Way Back In.

This is the door in the top of the Church Steeple/Clock Tower at the top of St Mary's Church, Rye. It looks a lot more daunting trying to get out!
