November 2011-Ship is all chocolate cake covered in butter cream. Island is also cake. Sails, palm tree, and other details are fondant. Used my airbrush for the first time to paint the ship and add details. It was lots of fun...and my kitchen is now covered with a fine brown mist. Oh, well...

WASC with butter cream. Fondant with tylose used for leaves, acorns and letters. This was my first time wiring leaves together. I was pleased that they stayed on the wire, but they wiggled a little. Next time, I'll add a some glue to the wire.

Aug.2011-Another Tangled cake, this one for a friend's granddaughter. Not quite as big as the last one! Two-layer 8" cake frosted in buttercream. Tower is paper towel roll with rolled up plastic inside for strength and covered with plastic wrap on the outside. Tower top is styrofoam. Tower top is all fondant covered. My apologies to Rapunzel for the awkward likeness, lol!

June 2011-cake is two layer wasc with buttercream. Cap is cake covered in fondant. St. Louis logo cut by hand. Other lettering cut with Cricut.
