ONLY RHINO'S SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO WEAR A HORN

During my recent trip to Solio Ranch we saw this Black Rhino busy feeding in the open plains of Solio Ranch with Mt Kenya in the backdrop!
Due to the sharp increase in the demand for the Rhino horn the rate of poaching has suddenly increased ten fold within the last couple of years.
You never know, we may have seen it for the last time in the wild!
Steve aka Rainbirder had posted a very interesting article the other day.

This is for those of you who may not have seen it on his Rhino picture. The article is a real eye opener on the demand of the Rhino Horn and cruelty of the poachers in the process.

What a fantastic animal! It's a REAL shame that they have almost exterminated it! I hope the Kenyan government is now REALLY protecting the rhinos!!!

....also elephants. If you can, get a copy of this months issue of NG. The cover story is entitled,"Blood Ivory". It's a very eye opening and troubling story that details the ivory smuggling trade.
