- This dirt is not on the sign, or my photo. That is not allowed! -- Your screen must need cleaning.
- This is un-American. The sign was probably altered by an terrorist cell secretly operating in Santa Cruz. Where is our Homeland security when we really need it. I'd called Pres. Bush but I don't think he believes Santa Cruz is part of the USA.
- Wait a minute. Santa cruz is a nuclear-free zone. Who left off that restriction? Is there an exception on the beaches that allows explosives? Are guns allowed on our beaches? I guess people can't smoke, but guns can.
- My additions: No nudity if you're ugly. No profanity. No drums if you can't keep a beat. No peeing against the cliff. No graffiti on the cliff or rocks (marking the sand is OK). If you're Gay, thats OK, but don't sing show tunes to me unless I ask you to.
- I like dogs and I vote! Why not just restrict aggressive dogs (and Poodles) and make owner's pick up after their pets? Personally I find a larger percentage of offensive people than I do dogs. If you don't allow people to socialize their dogs, you may be partially to blame for dog attacks. ;-)
- Alcohol doesn't act antisocial, people do. Let's just not allow unhappy drunks. Why not enjoy an our excellent Santa Cruz Mountains' wine at Santa Cruz beaches?
- You can't sell anything, even an unusual hand-crafted made-in-Santa Cruz object. But you can smell bad and ask for a handout all day long. We can't change that because we are keeping "Santa Cruz Weird." Yes, I know I am an insensitive jerk.
- What about service animals? The blind might wanna hang out on the beach too, ya know. - TheDamnМushroom

These signs are posted at numerous places along the beach in Santa Cruz, California which is famous for its tolerance. Go figure.
What else do you think should be prohibited? What does this imply is allowed?

Darn, I will bet there are lots of people who came to the beach with the idea of diving. When was the last time anyone has seeen somebody diving into the surf? Maybe there are those who are able to jump far beyond the surf and turn it into a dive? Blanket parties, it appears, are not outlawed. That is nice........................Rob
