Winter Sleep

Winter Sleep

"The birds are gone,
The winds are wild,
They chill and bite.
The ground is thick with slush and sleet,
And I barely feel my feet."

Toronto's Skyline

Toronto's Skyline

Being a human being is all about experiencing all that may enrich my horizon. Lets make the horizon our goal; it will always be ahead of us.

Hi my friends ... I crossed the Atlantic once more last Monday for a three weeks holiday in Boonville NY with my precious Flickr friend, Bill_Cross.
The last days home were a bit hectic and I didn't have time for uploading and image and telling you about my trip.
This picture of Toronto's skyline was taken 4 months ago. Boonville is not that far away from Ajax near Toronto where I met Ray (evolution of Ray) ...
So Hi Ray ... if I was a bird I should fly to you to say hello ;)))
And Hi to all the Flickr friends on both sides of the ocean

Yellowstone's light photographers

Yellowstone's light photographers

The difference bewteen the recorder photographer... and the artist photographer... is that the artist will, by experience and learning... force the camera to paint the imagination...the emotion... the concept and the intent... rather than faithfully and truthfully reproduce a record.

Leaving the Upper Geyser plateau by sunset, my breath was taken away by this view. SOOC taken through the open window of the jeep (I was not driving !!!). I was very surprised when downloading this image to see at least 4 photographers @ work.

Walk in balance and beauty

Walk in balance and beauty

Share the Earth with four-leggeds, two-leggeds, winged ones, swimmers, crawlers, plants and people. Walk in balance and beauty.
~Native quote~

Share your passion for photography ;)
Even the elks were sharing it by looking straight in my lens during that silent night walk.

Trees are sactuaries (2)

Trees are sactuaries (2)

I like to dedicate this image to my friend Hilary earthwaterfireair
You know why, dear ;)))

Trees are sanctuaries. Whoever knows how to speak to them,
whoever knows how to listen to them, can learn the truth.
They do not preach learning and precepts, they preach undeterred by particulars,
the ancient law of life.

~Hermann Hesse, Wandering~

The 1959 Yellowstone earthquake also known as the Hebgen Lake earthquake was a powerful earthquake that occurred on August 17, 1959 in southwestern Montana. The quake caused a huge landslide that caused over 28 fatalities, left huge damage and also blocked the flow of the Madison River resulting in the creation of Quake Lake. Quake Lake is full of dead tree trunks sticking out of the water. A real sanctuary...
