Fern's childhood

    Newer Older

One of my favorite farms... I have two other views someplace in my stream. I know generations have grown up here. It just seems to exist so peacefully, without any effort at all.

Oh and hey! this was officially fully processed on my new computer and with my new graphics tablet! I know, right? Almost too much for one days work... :)

yeah, it is a bit dark but I kind of wanted a silhouette with a bit of green...I hope that's what everyone is seeing. Going from one computer and monitor to another always has a bit of variety. thanks! I guess it's all about how well the print matches the screen and my intentions.

I have looked at it at large size and it does look better but still a bit blocked up in the green areas. I know it is difficult displaying images on Flickr.

I was thinking more about why I like this image so much, and panoramas in general. and I think its because they can tell a story as you scan across the them, in this case a story of trees and fields.

Blocked up means, dark with no detail and very little detail, it is the opposite to burnt out. It maybe your new monitor I have not noticed it on your previos images. Most monitor default settings are too bright.

i see detail in my blacks... as long as, when printed, they look like I intended - because I can't control everyone's monitor that's for sure. thanks!
