To Laura from Almanzo

Remember when he was driving her home in the sleigh, and it was forty below out, and the horse's faces kept freezing over, and Almanzo kept having to shake Laura to make sure she didn't fall asleep and die? That was so sweet!

Because doesn't it seem really strangely racy when Almanzo lets Laura take the reins and they sneak out of singing school to drive Barnum around? METAPHOR.
