    I was thinking the other day that the shadow look like cactus. Today, I notice those boxes atopping each of the branches. interesting composition!

    gosh, you've been on a roll. I like this too....the compo has really interesting elements to it and the shape of the shadow is so expressive / evocative.

    Rainer just loves cropping other people's images:-))
    Sometimes he's right, but in this case I actually like the looser framing that you have here. Especially since that little corner at the top echoes the step shapes of of the wall and lines further below.

    thanks for your words of support, krystina! i can see what he means, but i like the bit of room to breathe that this gives the shadow..... and of course once i start cropping the possibilities seem endless....
