Love Thou the Rose, Yet Leave It On Its Stem

Love Thou the Rose, Yet Leave It On Its Stem

In my two decades of living in the UK, Sunday was my first ever trip taken to the wonderful City of Oxford. It was a perfect Sunday spent exploring, boating, eating, relaxing and ofcourse photographing! This snap was shot at the Botanic Gardens - how could I resist such beauty.

Religion is to do Right. It is to Love, it is to Serve, it is to Think, it is to be Humble.

I went away to Dubai for a little while with my mother, just the two of us, it was nice to get away from work, routine and cold weather. Every mosque was as beautiful as the last. This was one of several we came across on our adventures.

The Walk

The Walk

It's been a while since I was last on Flickr, work life really takes it out of you and the weekends seem to fly by. I spent the Sunday before last at a charity event helping raise money for orphan's in Egypt, it was nicely done and really made one think of their actions in this life. On my way home that evening I found myself walking towards Saint Paul's Cathedral.. so very beautiful by night!

Food For Thought

Food For Thought

The perfect way to spend a cold winter Sunday, nibbling on a fine selection of nuts - with research suggesting this as brain food, I can't help but notice the resemblance between our brain and these nuts whenever I eat them. Is it just me that finds the detail on them intriguing?

Yay it really feels like Winter now and with Christmas around the corner, what perfect timing! I don't recall it snowing in London in December before - it's always been some time in the new year, so now it's extra special. I love this festive time of year, the shopping, the lights, the winter cold, the gloves, the hats, the scarves, the smiles and laughter :D

Happy Holidays to all! x
