30 years later's photostream  

Finally, a day off. I slept til 4 pm.

I love these two textures from Isabelle LaFrance and Sterling Silver (Being_Together) (Gaussian blur applied to both for a more subtle appearance, textures mostly erased from the leaves using the new masks in PSE9). SOOC below.

So sorry to have suddenly dropped out of sight on your streams. I have been working 12-16 hours each day while we finish a big promotion. Happily, though, I am extremely blessed to have a job I enjoy, team mates who are close friends, and great managers. And well-stocked vending machines ;~)

Just returned from wonderful 6 days with my wonderful mom. This is a 4-year old lacey oak; I am standing underneath looking waaay up. (Photo from June '09 in comment below).

From my mom's garden last April. It's clearer in these photos how the birds were eating from the top down. What a beautiful plant it is ... fascinating leaf shape (see image in comments), gorgeous red stems, and abundant blue fruit.

Tomorrow I leave for another visit with my mom! Sadly, the drought took her marvelous garden, so no more photography. But I get to spend time with my mom and I am sooo excited! See you in a week ... hope yours is wonderful!

Same texture and action as the previous image, but applied differently, so this is much more realistic. I probably should have cropped it more tightly but couldn't bring myself to lose any part of the plant.
