Slowly the time has come to look for a nice little summer holiday in 2012.
I can advise people the beautiful village of Rovinj in Croatia, where we spend our summer holiday 2011.
A beautiful village and many good restaurants, nice sunsets, friendly people.
What more do we want?
Excursion possibilities are plenty; Venice, Plitvice lakes, Pula, and so on.
Enjoy the time looking for a good holiday; I know we will, it's fun!

Forest magic

When a person believes, he or she can see magic everywhere.
We can dream about the biggest fantasy stories the world has ever known, like The Lord of the Rings from J.R.R. Tolkien, especially when we are in a forest.
We always see what we want to see, if you want to see the road behind this small part of the forest, you shall see it, but when you want to see an Ent or another magical creature , you also will see that.
Nature lives always, maybe also in parts of the atmosphere our regular human awareness almost can't reach. So to me, this is a little enchanted forest.

On tuesday the market in the centre of Rotterdam attracts many visitors This shot was taken in the early morning, so not many visitors yet, but believe me, it's crowded!
This picture was taken with my new Nikon Coolpix S6200 camera.

Hidden garden in Rotterdam, the Schoonoord garden, the pond.

An almost forgotten garden, near the Euromastpark in Rotterdam.
This garden was developed around 1860 and has an own garden, whind reminds us of the old estate Schoonoord that was once here. It has some nice flora and fauna, with some special trees like Gingko biloba, Common Fig, Catalpa, Cedrus libani and many more.
In the pond there are: Northern pike (Esox Lucius) , Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio) and Ide
(Leuciscus idus). Birds that are sometines here: Great sptted woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) , Common Kingfiher (Alcedo atthis) and many more. Birds that are always here...duckies!
