• Blueish is related to doing my PhD at the Delft Industrial Design Engineering
  • This area wants to remind me of the short stint I dit at the world of web design and consultancy
  • Purple: The overall design ecosphere with the older crowd, related to my times at Landmark
  • Orange are all the young dudes related to This happened and the web 2.0
  • These strange light blue things were weird. They turned out to be all related to Fabrique. I never really worked there, but it seems to have had a big influence on my LinkedIn network
  • Orange: My first time in Delft as a student, oddly completely unrelated to the other darker blue TU Delft part and the upper part.
  • Green: That's Dordrecht
  • Grey: People I know through my wife Anneke.

My LinkedIn network, visualized

Newer Older

I have so many connections on LinkedIn it became almost unusable and started becoming a repository of business contacts. This visualization, though mesmerizing to me at first and to others as well, is interesting though the groups are spread around time, location, profession and education.

The top and left is more related to my design expertise, the lower right is more my personal life.

Also the edges are filled with people I barely know. Then again in the center it is often the same.
