Salmon Fishing

Salmon Fishing

Hello friends!

So sorry to have left you all for so long again. Especially, as I wasn't feeling well the last time I posted. I am recovering well and as you can see; fishing is the one vice I still allow time for in my crazed schedule. I hope you are all doing well friends. i miss you guys. Eventually, I will be online again, but for most of the winter I may well be out of contact. Best wishes to you all.

Oct. 5th 1974 The Bog Bus Burning - SOOC (photo of photo) - 2011 Vintage Grand Prix Festival @ Watkins Glen NY

Quoted from Glenphotos.com (http://www.glenphotos.com/bog/index.html) ~ If any of you were there at the time, how could you forget it! Burning cars, The Geneva Horny Heathens, mud dogging (before it was cool), thousands of wild people (day and night), Jeep tug-o-wars, rock fights (not the music kind)and so on... what a sight! Known then at the time as one of the rowdiest places ON EARTH (according to the foreign press)! The climax was the burning of a Greyhound bus on an 1974 Oct. Saturday afternoon during the U.S. Grand Prix weekend. To go up there (Watkins Glen International) on a race weekend nowadays one would never imagine such goings on ever took place just outside the track, between turns 10 and 11.
Hell...It's a campground today.
Some of those NASCAR fans camping there these days have NO idea!

The Saleen S7 Twin Turbo was an updated revision of the original S7. Although the initial concept for the S7 incorporated twin-turbochargers, they were not used on the production car. The twin-turbocharged version later developed in 2005 went on sale for $585,296 USD (approx. GB£295,559, c.2007/€435,203, c.2007), replacing standard S7 production.

Changes - The engine was upgraded with two Garrett turbochargers producing 5.5 psi (0.4 bar) of boost, increasing the maximum power to 750 horsepower (760 PS/559 kW) at 6300 rpm, and the maximum torque to 700 lb·ft (949 N•m) at 4800 rpm. The front and rear diffusers and the rear spoiler were also reworked to increase downforce by 60%.

Performance (Mfg Estimates)
0-60 mph (97 km/h): 2.8 sec
0-100 mph (161 km/h): 5.9 sec
0-200 mph (322 km/h): 27 sec
Quarter-mile: 10.5 sec
Top speed: 248 mph (399 km/h)

Competition package~ In 2006, Saleen offered an optional competition package for the S7 Twin Turbo. The package offers a 33% increase in power, to a total of an approximate 1000 horsepower (1014 PS/746 kW), as well as changes to the suspension, a revised front and rear diffuser, and an optional aerodynamic package with carbon fiber front and rear spoilers.

Currently Saleen claims a top speed of 248 mph (399 km/h) for the S7 Twin Turbo but with the 1,000 bhp (746 kW; 1,014 PS) upgrade there are rumors that the car has already topped over 260 mph (420 km/h) in testing.

Nash Metropolitan Series IV 1959-1961 ~ Panned ~ cropped - 2011 Vintage Grand Prix Festival @ Watkins Glen NY

A panning shot of the Nash "Metro". I had to crop this one quite a bit, as there was far too much freespace to the left.
