I had no idea escalators would look really cool with a 2 second exposure until I saw this excellent shot by Ryan Maxwell: www.flickr.com/photos/rmaxwell/5459498845/
I thought I'd give it a try with a wide angle lens. Same metro station, Columbia Heights, luckily at a time when there wasn't a lot of traffic.
