This time of year, dotted along our country side are little patches of daffodils. As I come across these little spots that held homes of yesterday, I like to imagine warm Sunday afternoons. Happy children playing in the yard, grandma in her rocking chair and men napping under a shade tree. I wonder too at what point the need to live on the little spot of earth vanished. I know when am gone and my little house has vanished into the past, I will have left these bright little reminders for passersby to enjoy.
