"These forgotten sanctuaries have played a major role in Ain’s self-discovery. These once magnificent places exude a charm, which has enticed Ain to renew their expired spirits through her humble photos. With much of her history intertwined with these familiar nooks, Ain frequently muses on how these places offers more than it meets the eye.Captured meticulously on film and cross-processed for colour saturation, Ain’s photos serve as a memento, reminding us to treasure what we have before everything fades and vanishes in time."

About the photographer
Born in Singapore, Nur Ain relates her passion for photography as accidental. It unexpectedly began when she explored her first analogue film camera, and she has never looked back since. Ain is fond of capturing the beauty of ordinary moments that we so often take for granted, and she is in a constant pursuit of cataloguing memories and experiences which we will all longingly remember.
