• it looks perfect if it's crop in this way. - art Eden
  • If I do that, i'll lose the feeling of the tree, of it above your head, and the feeling of spring pretty much..

But then now that you mention it, maybe cropping a 3:4 would make this better?
  • i like the original version. no cropping needed. if the foreground has stronger contrast with the background, it may solve the problem. - joyce_l

Cherry Blossom in March

One of the few cherry blossom shots I've taken lately. I think it's got a "spring" feeling to it with a suggestive touch of green and the blue sky subtly sitting in the back. The in-focus cherry blossom in the front gives a feel of spring reaching out to the viewer.

Don't you feel like the cherry blossom is right above your head and you're ready to lay down your picnic basket? :-)

The background is nice and blurry, it makes it sort of surreal because the sakura are so nicely in focus. A beautiful shot.

The macro is great and so are the colours, so warm and brillant ... but i would crop the bottom part or better choose another pov: the big blurry lower part is really noisy and disturbing, it distract the sight from the magnificent of the blossoms

I have to disagree.... this is not a macro shot... and the bottom is not at all noisy, it's BOKEH, intentionally out of focus to bring out the subject. I personally absolutely love this shot.

I love this. It's amazing. Cherry Blossoms are amazing and you did a great job! I like the effect without cropping. Cropping would take away from the full effect. The blur in the back is so nice and contrasting.
