Tyler @ Petting Zoo - Old Photo

Tyler @ Petting Zoo - Old Photo

This is the last of the old photos I took a picture of and didn't scan the film. I know it's a bit lame. I also know these are just snap shots. I just remember Tyler getting such a kick out of this, he was beside himself and thought it was just so special.

Snow Tunnels - Old Photo

Snow Tunnels - Old Photo

We have some dear friends that live in the U.P in Sault Ste Marie MI. Years ago when we went to visit them, it was like driving inbetween walls of snow. Their boys had dug tunnels all thru the back yard. The kids had such a blast playing there and seeing the boys again, all of them for that matter. From left to right, my stepdaughter Amanda, my son Tyler and my other stepdaughter Misty. This must have been about 1988, maybe 1989.

South Manitou Island - Old Photo

South Manitou Island - Old Photo

This is another old memory. A place I use to love to go to. We would take the kids, everyone with their own backpacks. We would carry in what we needed. The first year my son had Poo Bear in his back pack...he he he. My oldest step-daughter isn't here on this trip. From left to right Tyler my son, me, my step-daughter Amanda and then Del. I'm guessing this must have been around 1978 or 79? this was like being on our own island. We normally never saw anyone else. The fog was so heavy it was raining on the tent in the woods. We decided to climb down the bluff to the beach and it was dry as a bone....wierd! I loved it there and I know it will always be a fond memory for all of us :)

Iron Horse - Old Photo

Iron Horse - Old Photo

I never did have any photos of me riding my bike. I use to love it. Rode it every second I had a chance. Back and forth to work and out in the country. This is an old photo I took a photo of :P
Once I rode downtown and decided to wear my helmet...good thing I did! A car in front of me drove over a can and it came right up in my face between my eyes. If I handn't had on my helmet with the face shield it would have knocked me off my bike I'm sure of it! Yea, a bandana and goggles was much more cool looking...lololol...but no where near as safe!
I no longer have this bike and miss it from time to time. There is no way I could ride one these days, maybe someday again!
This one was a 1980 Susuki 450L, teardrop tank and low to the ground, it was a good fit for me. I dumped it once and found out I could pick it back up (that was a good thing). I rebuilt the carberator twice, drilled some holes in the baffels to make it sound like it had a little more omphhh. Added spindle highway pegs and a sissy bar with a bag. It was a lot of fun! I even remember going to the motorcycle graveyard to pull off parts I needed a couple times.
