    Oahu from the air

    Leahi, better known as Diamond Head, remains the dominant landmark of the island of Oahu. A former military reservation, today it's a popular hiking destination. To its left is the wonderful Kapi'olani Park with its bandshell, and beyond that world-famous Waikiki Beach and its high-rise hotels. The Ko'olau mountains loom over the city.
