Glow!

Glow!

These fungi are such amazing things. Turn your torch off in the rainforest, and they're basically all you can see (unless it's full moon). We came across a few specimens, but these were some of the more interesting ones, and ones that didn't involve climbing a tree to get to!

Bioluminescent Fungi

Bioluminescent Fungi

Had a day off work so decided to head to the Gold Coast hinterland and see what we could find. Was pretty happy when we stumbled upon some of these.

Happy Valentines day! 33 weeks re-edited

Messed with in photoshop and lightroom. There's a few small things I've gotta fix up but overall I'm pretty happy with this.

Mr Charisma...

Mr Charisma...

I was lucky that this little guy let me get so many good shots. He was even good about me coaxing him onto a nicely coloured leaf.

Although he looks like he has potential to be nasty with those big red fangs, he was a big pussycat, and was more interested in jumping onto the lens at any given opportunity.

I think this is my fave from the little jumping spider portrait session :)

Looking up!

Looking up!

I got quite a few shots of this little fellow. I'll review them all again a little later on, but think this was the best of the bunch.

This is also one of my first photos where I've used lightroom to have a play. Not that there was any huge editing done to this shot, but it's still taking awhile to fumble around a new program.

Next stop is photoshop :)

I also picked up one of the Yongnuo 560 flashes, and used it in conjunction with my macro flash gear, and they work perfectly, and haven't had any trouble syncing with the other flashes (thus far). If you're keen on getting another flash or two, and you don't mind using them manually (no TTL mode), then I highly recommend them.
