Taken for the group Strobist Sundays. The theme this week is 'Contrast: Still/Moving.
I set this up in the half light so didn't notice that our Great British Pound is upside down....Whoops!!

SB900 firing @ 1/8 - 2/3ev and fixed with a snoot aimed at the motionless coin while the ambient light from the long exposure picked up the motion of the other

This guy was hiding beneath the leaf litter in my garden. It is so cold that he didn't have much energy.....luckily for me.

Also for the group MacroMondays where the theme is 'Monochrome'.

Lucky I was just going to alter one of my daughter's outfits or I wouldn't have seen this.

SB900 on full power right of camera and firing through a reflector
I blocked the pre-flash on some of the attempts but eventually used one with the pre-flash included because it was hitting the needle and giving it some form.

Conclusion: It's about time I cleaned my sewing machine. ;o)
