365 Days - Day 71 - Hippy Tree Huggers

Me in one of my favourite trees. Went out taking photos this afternoon but didn't get many because it started to drizzle and the light was bad. We were going to walk as far as the Ryde Queen (rusting hulk of an old paddle steamer) but one of the footpaths was so flooded we couldn't go any further. Just as well because the drizzle turned into heavy rain.

Nice idea. The colorful sweater adds a nice visual punch to the clone treatment.

what a great photo(s) love your playfulness :-)

@s0oulsurfing - it's along the Medina on the east side. We were on our way along the footpath to the Ryde Queen but the path was flooded as we got near it. You can see this tree from the other bank - huge roots looking like they're straining to stop the whole tree descending into the river.

this is a fantastic photo, I have that jumper or one nearly identical. I will have to put it on for one of my days.

Was the jumper an accident or did you mean to take it for wowing up the contrast - cos the bright color really does something special to this

  21. Auntie P (64 months ago | reply)

    Thanks everyone.

@Mitki - I haven't seen her work before but I love it. Thanks for the link.

@brynmeillion - I wore it to keep myself warm because I didn't want my coat flapping about in my photos (as it often does) - but it turned out well. :-)

Thanks everyone - I'm so glad I wore that jumper, I think that's what's attracted people to this shot.

I still can't see it on Explore front page and I keep refreshing, but my Flickr friend Angele. did a screen grab for me.

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments. I've been a bit overwhelmed by the response to this photo. Funnily enough I was torn between two that I'd made that day and I wonder if the other one would have got the same attention. I will never know, though I will be posting the other photo soon.

Thanks also for all the group invitations, they are all appreciated, even though I may not have the time to participate in many new groups.

i am new at flickr and i was wondering how do u do a clone...
also what programe do u use
i use mac so please help me..
tell me which programe to buy

  42. Auntie P (63 months ago | reply)

    Hi panache1

I don't know what program you can buy because I do not know anything about Macs. I use Paint Shop Pro but I think it is available only for PCs. I know you can do cloning with PhotoShop and I'm sure that is available for the Mac. I'd suggest you Google for information on how to use it to make clones. Good luck!
