I have been too busy to spend time browsing Flickr. I didn't want weeks and weeks to go by without uploading so this will be an upload and run. I hope you like it.

Putah Creek

Putah Creek

It finally rained but not enough to cloud the water. I was hoping for a nice sunset but all the clouds cleared so I went and shot the creek instead.

In the land of Oaks

In the land of Oaks

This is definitely not my normal type of processing. I was playing around with ColorEfex and ended up using a custom bi-color filter. I set it as my desktop background to see if I liked it and now it is up to you to judge it. Let me know what you think.

Cach Creek Drought

Cach Creek Drought

This has been one of the driest winters in a very long time. You can see the water line and this is the time of year when flow should be approaching the high mark. Down the valley farmers have been forced to irrigate their winter crops because no rain has fallen.

Looking down the bridge

Looking down the bridge

This shot was taken looking across the road 57 bridge near Vernon A Nichols county park along Cache Creek. When I shot this my intent was to go black and white so I used a polarizer to get the sky as dark as possible and to create the contrast with the cottonwood tree. The black and white conversion was done with SivlerEfex pro
