The Wood Building - MIcropolis

Newer Older

The Wood Building seems to have mysteriously appeared from nowhere. Nobody in Micropolis has a clear memory of when the building arrived or can think of a time when if wasn't part of the skyline. The Pyramid Pavillion seems to provide a type of unknown power source to the complex.

    Hi Tim!
Originally, I was going to build a micro scale The Great Pyramid, but when I did the math it turns out that it's twice the height of the Eiffel Tower and would probably take up 8 city blocks and need something like 2,000 of those gold wedge pieces so I opted for a pyramid sized by my collection.

The fairings are some of my favorite underused LEGO parts.

Cool MOC, but just as an FYI, the base doesn't conform to the standard, assuming you want to mate it with others.

"We follow all the TwinLUG standards but one: Instead of the bottom layer being built with plates, ours should be built with (thin) baseplates. This is intended to reduce the cost of plates needed to execute modules."

Reminds me of something that the creators of Stargate would put on their show in season 1 or 2. :P

Nice though, I like it a lot.

This is ridiculously awesome. The whole thing is deceptively small, great work!

Oh I just commented about the standard on your other shots... if you do it with baseplates there, that will be alright then, but the roads still aren't what they should be...
