Not In My House

Not In My House

First, about the shot: My church has recently started up a basketball league and they asked me to take some pics (good excuse for me to dust off my camera and practice, eh?) One of my favorite shots that I've taken in terms of sports photos. Anyways, enough of that... onward!

Hey Flickr, it's been a while hasn't it? If I'm correct, it's been over two years since the last time I posted a picture here. I was looking at comments from my last upload on January 27, 2010 and I am touched at some of the comments and private messages that you have sent me wondering where I am. I truly appreciate the kind words, and there is nothing that I can do to express that. But anyways, I won't bore you all with updates but I'll just list a few significant ones:

- I've been neglecting photography (I know, I know, sad right?)
- Have been focusing on school (classes and all that jazz, stressful to the MAX!)
- Been wrestling with God about my future and what He has in plan for me and my life
- Made some amazing friends, met a lot of awesome people
- Went to Wildwood, NJ for a summer project (I'll elaborate some time in a description of a picture I'm sure
- Traveled down to Panama City Beach, Florida for two years in a row (third year this year) for a conference
- Moved in with Boaz (yep, remember him?) and a bunch of other bros
- Lots of laughter, some tears and lots of growing
- Also picked up a new camera too (Canon 7D), whattup?

Anyways, I recently got that itch to start shooting again. So in short, I've picked up my camera again and have recently started shooting more and more. Dang... my pro account expired, to be expected right? I'll be in and out, hopefully more in than out but I'll make my way around to streams when I've got some spare time.

Good to be back ya'll!

Hummana, hummana, hummana. Shot this in the Buffalo Harrison building. Got to explore it for the first time a few weeks ago with Tim and Cait (who came all the way from Niagara Falls!). It was great finally meeting her.

Anywho, I found my way up onto this.... cutout in the wall... no idea what it was. But ya, loved the split color of the walls and the random wires and misc. things falling off of it. Got Tim to be my human tripod. I then proceeded to rush to Alumni Arena to shoot women's basketball for the Spectrum followed with a trip to Spot with Tim and Boaz. All in all, a good night.

[216.365] A Little BCT

[216.365] A Little BCT

Finally got to go out to Buffalo Central Terminal to shoot after hearing so much about it from urbex peoples. So BCT, check! Shot a weeks back actually. I believe this is one of the first photo outings I was able to take since my knee injury. It had been a while and I was really itchin' to get out again.

The picture definitely doesn't do the height of where I am justice. Major props to Tim and Norbert for helping out with the shot. Tim almost fell and broke his neck a few times while shooting this for me. Norbert well, he's a trooper for being a human boom. And yo... it was cold, real cold. Went to Sorentino's for some good eats afterwards and possibly the best chicken pram i've ever had to date. Small, lesser known, local restaurants are always the best place to go for food done right.

[215.365] Light Fight!

[215.365] Light Fight!

3 Different sources of light... interesting to work with given the amount of time I had to shoot. Oh well.

Let see... what do I remember about this night. Pretty much all I remember is that it was really cold and REALLY windy. OH and there was actually snow on the ground too which was fun for my car =D Anywho, set up and snapped a few quick ones before my light stand took a tumble. Its ok, nothing was really hurt.

[214.365] I Like Tuh'tles

[214.365] I Like Tuh'tles

Its true.. I likes them. Heh especially awkward ones. Picked this little guy up from the WongFu store when it came out. It's incredibly soft and squishy. I just had to bring him back to college with me. He needs a name however.

This week is going to be craaaaazy busy. I hope I can get through all of it and hopefully it slows down after. I really need to stop procrastinating. Anyways Saints of Colts in the superbowl? I say... Saints baby! Who Dat?!?!
