This is the view from ThoughtWorks' office window on the 18th floor of City Tower Manchester. The sun was setting camera left providing a horizontal light across the city. I shot this on my Canon G12 through a dirty window - single exposure no HDR. I brought out the detail using a B&W layer copy over sharpened and then set the blending mode to Luminosity.
