Teaching farming experiences to others

Freddy can now teach others to use organic compost for crops such as potatoes, but also maize. With the help of IICD, Freddy will be able to share his story with more farmers via ICT (such as internet).

Creating organic compost

With the help of the Heifer foundation and through local partner Coordinadora Rural, farmer Freddy learned how to create organic compost and other organic farming methods, that he now uses for all of his crops.

Farmer Freddy is a member of the farmer community San Lucas de Colán in the region of Piura, Peru. He grows several organic products, in particular organic sweet potatoes (camote lila).
