Rainbow in the falls.

Feeling a bit nostalgic this morning.

I decided to look through some old 35 mm photos I took when Steve and I visited Norway some years ago. I came across this one which I had forgotten about so scanned it - not the best quality - but I hope you like it.

I was standing just inside a safety railing - was dying to break the rules and just nip quickly to the other side to get a better view - it seemed pretty safe - but common sense prevailed.

Mountain sheep will take a nap anywhere ….

The trouble is, you have to be very diligent as you are driving along, one just might suddenly get up and bolt in front of the car.

693. There is a day coming ..........

693. There is a day coming ..........

I took this photo just before the sun rose from my bedroom window.

"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words." -- 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (ESV)

This is a scanned shot from an old 35 mm photo.

I tried to angle this capture, so that I did not get any people in it, but also to get a sense of the wonderful wood-work the Elizabethans (or Tudors) developed.

This gatehouse would be at least 500 years old.

The Tudor period usually refers to the period between 1485 and 1603, specifically in relation to the history of England. This coincides with the rule of the Tudor dynasty in England whose first monarch was Henry VII (1457 – 1509). The term can be used more broadly to include Elizabeth I's reign (1558 – 1603), although this is often treated separately as the Elizabethan era.

The sun was really low and so was I.

I really had to be a contortionist to get this shot but I think it was worth it.
