During the 2012 annular eclipse, Mather Lookout was shoulder-to-shoulder until the moon began moving off the face of the sun. This shot is of the thinning remaining crowd,

Most of the shots I took of the May 20, 2012, annular eclipse were through welding glass, but this shot was taken with a lens stopped down as far as it would go and a shuuter speed of 1/4000 of a second. I don't know what the object is at Sol's 7 o'clock, or if it is perhaps a lens artifact.
