Hopewell Rocks (20091015-145412-PJG)

    Newer Older

Yesterday, 2009-10-15, was a beautiful fall day with glorious light and clarity. I got a call in the morning from Mr.Shutterbug asking me if I wanted to go out shooting. Not one to pass up a good opportunity, we were off for a good five hours, shooting all over the place.

About mid-afternoon we ended up at the Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick, Canada, just as the tide had gone out.

When the tide is in, the bottom portion of the rock formations are submerged. Centuries of tidal action has caused the erosion effect creating these "Flower Pots".
