I'M NOT SATISFIED the snickers lie in full effect -- the BUY 2 GET 2 FREE marketing scam = BOYCOTT SNICKERS!!!!! : target (2013)
so SNICKERS candy bars (and a whole range of other commodities) doubled in price since APRIL of 2012.
some of you know that i've written about this and have encouraged everyone to boycott these products so that the manufacturers don't benefit from the media technique they used -- offering "4-for-2" specials at exacerbated prices that are the same price or just pennies lower than two times the original price. for months snickers was listed at it's new price 1.20$ but you could get four for the price of two -- that is, for 2.40 cents you could get four candy bars.
i wrote/diatribed about how lame this kind of manufacturing technique is because it is a suspect way of doubling the price of the original commodity right in front of the consumer's face. (click on the picture link below for a full explanation)
so again, PLEASE consider boycotting the products that have been used to implement this sales technique. obviously, it is the technique that needs to be done away with, but in the meantime, join the boycott against snickers and the many other manufactured products that have been used as gateway products for this technique.
consider telling the management at your favorite stores that you want fair pricing, not sales tactics and giveaways. tell them you want a store that doesn't haggle. we're not a third world country and shouldn't therefore be treated to the back-hand techniques of third world oppression.
