ELEVEN

ELEVEN

Last couple of images from my recent trip to Minehead and the surrounding coastline.

I saw these during the day when the tide was out and knew that i had to go back the next day when the they were surrounded by water.

Im pretty sure that this one will get printed and put on the wall as my wife took an instant liking to it.

Teignmouth Pier

Teignmouth Pier

Taken a while ago when Tim Barker, Dave Dummett and myself went to Teignmouth pier for a sunrise shoot. Considering it was raining when we got there, we were quite lucky with how it turned out.

What Lies Beneath !

What Lies Beneath !

Explored #33

Another shot from my weekend wilst staying at Minehead with the family and scouring the coastline between Porlock and Bossington for suitable photo opourtunities. I stumbled across this by accident and got talking to a gentleman that came past and he said that the steps are only covered this high a few times a year.

There are some very interesting markers and structures dotted along the coastline that i visited and well worth a return visit.

Ive included a square crop as well as i cant make my mind up which i prefer.

Croyde Surprise

Croyde Surprise

Explored #13

So called because untill i got this on the computer i was fairly certain that the meet up at Croyde was my first unproductive shoot in a few years. I had struggled with fiding a composition that i was happy with and an image that i thought had something about it. So was pleasantly surprised when i opened up this on Sunday night to process. I can normally tell from the camera when ive got a good image, but didnt feel that i had managed much worthwhile.

Taken at Croyde when Tim Barker, Dave Dummet, Martyn Hasluck and Andrew Barret and myself meet up for a sunset shot before going on to do a star trails shhot later.

minehead Harbour

minehead Harbour

Taken last weekend when i was at Butlins for a long weekend with the family. I was hoping for some decnt clouds as it looked promising the evening before, but awoke to find it -5.

To make matters worse i jumped off the pier wall about 4ft on to the sand, unbeknown to me at the time the sand was frozen solid and i jarred my knee. Doh !

Anyhow, i tried some very minimalist images and i know that these are going to be liked by some and not by others.
Will be interesting to hear peoples opinions all the same.
