just chillen... like a villan

finally. this is like heaven to take a picture again. i have been bombarded with my Summer A design studio class last semester. i lived more in the studio than i did at my own apartment, literally. now things have luckily died down a bit and my work level is nowhere near what i had. i really want to get back on track with photography, but college just makes it so hard.

just another self-portrait. nothing new. nothing interesting. just me experimenting with new styles. this is another panorama portrait. final size is 31.6 megapixels. i'm beginning to like my 50mm 1.4 more and more everyday.

**my bad. i just noticed i didn't crop it right...oh well**

this was a one light set up. just one light simply placed behind me. my face was exposed with ambient light.

this was a quick shot i took with the little free time i have in college, specifically during finals week lol.

anyways to begin with, this is the second panorama portrait that i have taken. the first was this one. i took it with my 50mm 1.4G and panned the images vertically then stitched it together in photoshop. this gives me a nice shallow background, yet also giving me a wide point of view. the final picture came out to be 36.2 megapixels and i am really liking the huge amount of detail i can get from doing this simple technique. this isn't the entire picture though...i cropped it out a little on the sides, and if you'd like to see the whole picture and how i edited this, please check it out on my youtube channel:

it's quite fun to actually take pictures of other people. i don't really get the chance that often. i have a lot of fun behind the camera than in front, although i do have to admit i enjoy self-portraits just as equally. to begin with this is my sister. she knew about this abandoned place around town and took me there. i absolutely love how the sun was shining down through some plants off camera creating those random spots of sunlight that hits the ground.

besides it all, this picture was inspired by the many pictures of elongated scarfs around flickr.
