Almost 3 yrs in Germany with a fridge the size of a frickin' freezer and this new fridge is cause for serious celebration. I have a freezer again! We don't have to shop every day! We can go to the BIG stores (like Kaufland or Real) quite a ways from our home and actually stock up a bit on frozen things. Not to mention.. hey... did someone say ICE CUBES?! (The new one is 12 cubic feet. It's A+ EU energy rating & will use barely any more energy than our old tiny piece of *&*(&)

After living almost 3 yrs in Germany with the stupid little fridge (gray) you see to the right, we finally saved up and bought a REAL fridge! Notice how the freezer portion of the new fridge is only a bit smaller than the entire old fridge (which had a freezer big enough for about 2 bags of frozen veggies. That's it.). Oh, the new one is 6 1/2 feet tall, a Bosch and is A+ energy rated. It actually won't use much more electricity than the old stupid littl eone. HALLELUJAH for ice cubes and freezing left overs!

LOL. Fahren (to travel) is often conjugated to "fahrt", which, of course, is hilarious in English. From this you can get all sorts of other ridiculous sounding words like "ausfahrt", "einfahrt", "überfahrt", etc. Oh, this button I got at www shirt-o-sphere.com. They even have t-shirts about "FAHRT"ing, lol...
