Trinity trail before

At a TogetherGreen volunteer days event at Trinity River Audubon, a group of volunteers cleared a trail, ensuring vistors will have access to all of the natural wonders the area has to offer. During the day they also trained 13 new Dogwood Canyon volunteers in geology, sustainable buildings/LEED, plant ID, trail safety, bird watching, and nature interpretation.

Two Eagle Scouts from Minneapolis's Troop 100 putting the finishing touches on a Chimney Swift tower

With a TogetherGreen Innovation Grant, Audubon Minnesota and its partners are working with young people, members of the Mille-Lacs Band of Ojibwe, Eagle Scouts, and more to provide nesting and roosting sites for Chimney Swifts, American Kestrels, and Purple Martins around the Twin Cities region. All three bird species have suffered dramatic population declines in recent years.

Mass Audubon and Groundwork Lawrence have worked to engage Lawrence, MA residents with the Spicket River Greenway, an "emerald bracelet" of green spaces and walking paths connecting parks and open space through multiple neighborhoods, and worked with citizens to reduce human impacts on the environment. They have also reached out to diverse and under-served audiences to get them involved in conservation.
