For the story, i must tell it loud now : Socrates says he doesn't know anything and feels empty while also being able to stimulate conversations all around him. Same for the cave: the more empty it is, the more your voice echoes :)

Laetitia has worked hard on the problem to make a painting reflecting the nature of her academic work; the nature of the conversation in terms of ontologies. It is funny, I started to take photos of 'the conversation' before we met, Hope she manages with this one, would love to make this one the last in my series portraiting the chat. Manages then finally to have one of her and me.

About the title, she paint us in a cave, a strong philosophical and communication symbol. Yes, there is of course Platon's cave. Then the oracle Socrates visited lived in a cave. And pre-historic man comunicate to us by ancient ontologies through cave paintings.

Confit De Canard or Duck Confit, the famous French dish, being prepared of course by Laetitia Le Chatton last Saturday in some great friend's great kitchen. Second time I have had it now. Easily one of my favorite dishes. Much fat here, don't skip it! It is filled with taste, wonderful taste. Laetitia assures it is very healthy fat, I choose to not question that a tiny bit.
