Communications Hut Roys Peak Jun 2011

I walked up here two days in a row to 1578m above the stunningly beautiful Lake Wanaka, but unfortunately from about 1000m onwards I lost the view! I wanted to make the "triple" but funnily enough my feet were a tiny bit sore after two days in a row, so I very reluctantly I cancelled day three - I hated doing it though (cancelling it that is, not the walks.)

Looks better on the Black background I think, i.e. click on the photo then click it a second time.

Introducing the newest member of my family: Pussy Pusskins

Introducing Pussy Pusskins, or Pusskins for short, the newest member of my family, adopted around Oct 2011.

I had just bought an Infra Red Shutter Release that I was trying out for the first time - I simply put the camera on the table, got into position and clicked the Remote and voilà.

My other attempt had me in slightly better focus and the cat slightly less in focus - I figured you'd rather see the one of the cat more in focus.
