13 Bottles

13 Bottles

More bottles
Used shower-curtain intermediate diffusers on the sides. Had the bottle sitting on my beauty dish w/grid - a sheet of glass from a picture frame under the grid to support the weight of the bottles. An Einstein w/ 30 deg grid pointed at the ceiling, and SB-800s in DIY 28" soft boxes on the sides outside of the shower curtains.

Not perfect, but a big improvement, I think, from the last shot.

If I had been hard core about it, I guess I would have shot each bottle separately in this arrangement and then made a composite in order to eliminate reflections and shadows from neighboring bottles, but that would be beyond the scope (budget) of this shot.

Regarding the perspective, keep in mind that the press release with this photo is from the manufacturer of the bottle caps.

RemovalTorque

RemovalTorque

One of my employer's lab techs checking removal torque of a bottle cap.

Einstein w/64" white PLM with black cover flat overhead. Einstein w/22" BD+grid camera right. Einstein w/8'5"+15 deg grid camera left directed at hand/bottle. SB800 with grid behind model directed at laptop. Photoshopped screen shot of spreadsheet onto laptop screen.

I wish I had noticed her hidden hand while I was shooting.

Assignment: Relationship

Assignment: Relationship

When I got this assignment topic for a local photo group, I thought of two of our 3 cats who tolerate each other, and no more. I had a shot in mind - this isn't it - but when going for something like this, you have to take what you can get.

The models, Winnie and Mona, only gave me one opportunity for a shot. All subsequent attempts resulted in them rapidly vacating the vicinity of the seamless.

Thanks also to my daughter and her boyfriend for their cat wrangling skills.

Einstein + 8" Reflector w/ 15 degree grid camera left.
Fill, Einstein + 24x36 soft box -2 stops from key.
Gridded speedlight on background for hot spot.
All fired with Cybersync triggers.
