Loch Morlich and the Cairngorms

After battling through snow and queues to get to the hill we decided to sack that off and go for a wander round Loch Morlich.

It's frozen solid right now and there were even people cross-country skiing around the edges.

This view is looking south across Loch Morlich towards Cairn Gorm, Coire an t Sneachda and Coire an Lochan.

I applied the same sharpening technique as the previous image and I think it's more natural here but needs work to get it tweaked. Still it produces little in the way of a halo.

The interframing gives a wonderfully distorted sense of scale. I get the impression of looking through a porthole into a series of different dimensional planes. (Must be the bubbly from last night. BTW, Happy new Year!!!!!!!!!!)
