We're back!
We're back with an inspirational series of spring Walks that will empower you to live a happier, healthier life.
Reboot your brain on Nature's Treadmill.
When hard economic times arrive, people tend to remember the simple, but vital asset of well-being - or as we like to say...
"Your health is your wealth!"
For nine years now we have presented free, fun walking activities across Ontario and have enjoyed great success in promoting the many benefits of walking.
"The health benefits of walking are clear," says Dr. Mark MacLeod, President of the Ontario Medical Association www.oma.org/Pages/default.aspx. "Regular participation in exercise such as walking can help prevent illness, improve fitness, fight depression and prolong life!"
So join us and get in touch with your neighbours, your environment and yourself.

"just for the HEALTH of IT"!
This Walk is for the birds!
We're really looking forward to the Bird Festival that the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority is putting on. A stop-over point for migrating birds, Tommy Thompson Park has recorded over 300 bird species and is designated as an internationally acclaimed Important Bird Area.
After the Birding Tour you are welcome to stay and enjoy the various interpretive displays revolving around the following themes -
1. Bringing Back the Birds
Focus on bird conservation and current environmental initiatives underway that are making a difference;
Illustrate how everyone can help birds in their own backyard;
Interpretive stations, including children’s activities and guided walks will be offered hourly.
2. Tropics to … Toronto
Focus on bird identification and appreciation of migratory songbirds;
Guided walks to see and hear the songbirds in the Peninsula D forest will be offered hourly;
The Tommy Thompson Park Bird Research Station (TTPBRS) will be offering live bird banding demonstrations.
3. Birds of a Feather that Nest Together
Focus on the remarkable world of colonial waterbirds;
Guided walks with opportunities to view and learn about the 7 waterbird species breeding at the park will be offered throughout the day.
