Man made global warming was invented in 1998.The purpose was an
attempt to force the United States to sign the Kyoto Treaty which
would have shut down industries in this country which had carbon
dioxide emissions above the levels of third world nations and
developing countries. It was an attempt to cripple the industrial
production of the United States and to "level the playing field
". In spite of the efforts of that great Guru Of Global Warming,
Al Gore, and the liberal left of the Democratic Party, this treaty has
not been ratified to date by the United States.
The global warming theory (it's only a theory ) is based almost exclusively on computer model projections. There is no empirical truth nor scientific fact on which to base this theory. Quite to the contrary there is a growing body of evidence that proves it false.
Ice core samples, tree ring studies and bottom core drilling in lakes
and oceans show that the climate has gone through cycles of warm
periods and cooling periods for thousands of years , long before man
and carbon dioxides produced by his machines were on the planet.
A growing percentage of climatologist and reputable scientist reject this theory. The most vocal supporters of Global Warming and climate change are those on the take from the various western governments who dole out millions of dollars in research grants each year.
Environmental kooks, left wing loons and the hate America crowd use these funds to promote this hoax to the American public. Is it any wonder then that Nancy Pelosi demanded that $400 million dollars of the "Stimulus Bill" go to Global Warming Research. It's the money that explains why most of our major universities have science degrees devoted to this pseudoscience.

A yr ago you would've had about 50 angry posts name-calling you, praising Al Gore, etc. etc.
Now, no one posts any angry responses because even the people who were suckered realize the truth...they were had!!!!

To plcatl: yes you are right but Obama and the Democrats have a great big carbon tax planned for power generating plants, petro production, and coal.....we could see electric bills go to $600 dollars per month for small homes!

The earth is not growing warmer, as a matter of fact it has grown cooler for over a decade.

Vicki Kyriacaca is just a teenager who watched "An Inconvenient Truth". Love the Al Gore reference to the science driving the global warming hoax being "beyond debate". Actually, it isn't global warming anymore. It's called climate change, since global warming didn't work.

Yeah, I guess piers wouldn't actually make great scientists XD.... That's what I get for trusting spell check. But I never claimed to be an expert on climate science (or spelling). I'm not interesting in debating opinions about global warming. I usually leave that to people who are trained for it. I was just interested to see some of the growing body of evidence against AGW.

All this would be laughable - except it is going to beggar us all with carbon emissions taxes, Cap and Trade, etc.
Beware when politicians and "scientists" join hands! What one doesn't get wrong the other with screw up and vice versa.

I am not sure that I feel that Flickr is the correct forum for ideological politial debates, thus I will not comment on the message in the photo. You have a right to your opinions and I have a democratic obligation to listen to what you have to say.
As a photo I feel that it lacks focus as there are two image centres - Ronald Reagan attracts the eye first thus drawing attention from the message on the right which becomes a secondary focus point, which was probably not what you intended. This effect is emphasised by Ronald Reagan being on the left - one reads from left to right.
