OBAMA'S PLAN FOR AMERICA
Today in the City Of Orlando Florida I watched 75,000 people
screaming, shouting and cheering this radical socialist on to victory.
Oh yes, he was a smooth orator, a spell binding speaker from the best
that Harvard speech and drama had to offer but as I scanned the faces
I wondered how many really understood what he was saying. It was as
if a rock star at
a rock concert was on the speakers platform.
Did this crowd not know that this "Community Organizer",
with the help of Acorn and other such groups; the Liberal Democratic
members of the US
House and Senate along with some criminal bankers(Fannie Mae/Freddie
Mac) are responsible for the Stock Market crash and the melt down of
the US Economy?
The Community Reinvestment Act was proposed and passed by the Clinton
Administration to work their liberal social engineering policy of
allowing poor, uncreditworthy minorities to obtain mortgages
regardless of income, lack of documentation, verification and even
immigration status...banks were strong-armed into providing these
sleazy mortgages doomed to fail all in the name of "community
building" and "minority/diversity" ...a great social
engineering boondoggle
Senate Democratic majority leader, Harry Reid... Speaker of the House
Nancy Pelosi.... Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Jim Johnson, Franklin
Raines, Charlie Rangel, and Barack Obama should go to prison for this
Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac FRAUD and conspiracy to defraud.
No, the coming Great Depression of the 21st century is not George
Bush's fault. From his very first year in office he attempted to reign
in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and correct the abuses of The Community
Reinvestment Act but was blocked at every turn by the Democrats.Hear

How do you promise income tax cuts to 95% of Americans if 40% of Americans are not paying income taxes?
You do it by taking money from "joe the plumber" and giving it other folks. That ain't a tax cut by any definition except by a Clinton or Carter parsing of words. That is "spreading the wealth around".
I've got nothing against spreading the wealth around, but, I would just as soon decide where I spread my puny wealth to - I don't need a tin-man politician or any Washington bureaucrats to help me decide who to give what little I have to spare to.

much more moderate than you think, and that's too bad. capitalism is a system of destruction and greed

Palin on the re-distribution of wealth
"And Alaska—we’re set up, unlike other states in the union, where it’s collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs. … It’s to maximize benefits for Alaskans, not an individual company, not some multinational somewhere, but for Alaskans."

Where have all of the folks who are now crying "Socialism" been all these years? We've been "redistributing the wealth" since we started paying federal income tax, according to John McCain's interpretation of the term Socialism.
McCain, of course, is afraid that he and his cute, rich, second wife may have to pay more taxes under a Democratic tax plan - than under the Bush plan of "tax cuts for America" (which really means "tax cuts for corporate America and for the very wealthy").
Obama's plan is simply an adjustment to the tax rates - an effort to provide relief for the folks at the middle and lower ends of our socioeconomic ladder - yes, the poor folks. That's NOT Socialism!
They say the rich get richer and the poor get poorer -- but I've yet to understand why the poor seem so happy to pay the bills for the rich folks - and then begin crying "Socialism" when a plan to adjust the tax rates is presented, one that is fair and equitable, and one that would benefit them directly.
All of this is part of the age-old Republican scheme of getting votes by spreading FEAR amongst the voters. McCain is a master craftsman in that area (as is our soon-to-be FORMER President, GW).
What the argument should be about is the fairness of the tax code - ANY tax code - and whether we should adopt a 'flat tax' instead.

The only good thing about stupid postings like this is that it will make tourists afraid to come visit us because they will think we are all as ignorant as the person who posted this. I don't mind having fewer tourists around.
CK'sPhoto (43 months ago | reply)
scaring tourist?
genetew (43 months ago | reply)
To mphflorida....No need to worry about the tourist, there will be fewer and fewer of them coming to Florida in the months and years to come. Due to the economic melt down, hundreds of thousands have already lost their jobs and their means of income. Early next year, those unemployed will number in the millions.......Why?...because of the"Community Reinvestment Act" which forced banks to write bad and noncredit worthy mortgages. This man Obama was a principal facilitator along with Acorn in bringing this on our country.
Is Barack Hussien Obama a Socialist ? Take him at his word. (Click below)

What a surprise that this hateful thread has gotten worse. I'm liberal but I'm far from air brained. I don't think it's cool to generalize about people like that. I'm hoping that someday soon we'll all be able to come together.

To hollythehippie : Note that danielsalamonm from flickr has deleted his comments.........No Holly all liberals are not air brained, as a matter of fact I respect some of the values they hold. It is a fact that all Republicans are not conservatives, George Bush demonstrated this today by redistributing the wealth of my grandchildren in the form of a $17 billion dollar handout to the automakers.....In a free enterprise country they should have filed for reorganization in bankruptcy.

To:" january20th2009".....I recently visited your worshipful religious shrine to Obama (your photo stream).......I regret to tell you but he is not the messiah and he is not the second coming. He is just a man; a very adroit politician even better than Bill Clinton. I fear he mislead you to get your vote....that is the bad news.
The good news is, he has backed away from most of the radical left wing Socialist promises he made during the election. Barack is a pragmatic realist and I fear that Peggy will not get her free gasoline and mortgage paid !

awesome Obama is going to end up letting 250 terrorists loose within the US mainland!!! COOL! this will show that we are nice eh? Ck,
Anger is a common side affect of ignorance. When you don't understand things it's frustrating and aggravating. I'm sure your anger is nothing new.
CK'sPhoto (41 months ago | reply)
So all the people that were so hateful to Bush were ignorant? No matter what he didn't deserve the treatment he got. Ignorance? Maybe, but I don't think so.. I'm a pretty positive thinking fellow.. I just don't think Obama has any idea of what he's doing.. I know I need to give him time.. but seriously closing GITMO? How is that going to help us? enlighten me! Do you think the world is going to love us now? Unless you're muslim and that's sometimes not enough to not kill you.. muslims were in the WTC these people want to kill you... and we think about letting them go free?
January why do you worship this man so much? is it the experience he has? not much.. is it hope? hope in a man you know nothing about is pretty risky don't you think? His radical views were enough for me not to vote for him.. but his tolerance to abortion is scary...partial birth abortion is ok in this guys mind..this guy thinks it's ok to jam a steel rod into a childs head as its being ripped from the birth canal... that could have been you..
january20th2009 (41 months ago | reply)
The whole idea of gitmo runs counter to everything we believe as Americans. We can't simply prance across the globe preaching freedom and democracy. While at the same time imprisoning men and torturing them, without charge or trial and holding them indefinitely. We condemn those actions when they are perpetrated by other governments. If the men at gitmo are guilty of crimes, we should try them and convict them. If there is no evidence to convict them with, they should be released. Anyone who has any respect for our constitution should be outraged by the policies at gitmo. Ideals, values and convictions are not to be abandoned in the face of fear or enemies. That is the test of our beliefs. If we don't hold true to them in times of crisis, then the foundation of our system is eroded.

those men were captured on a battlefield.. Those men who don't fight under a countries flag or wear a countries uniform have no rights one of them that was already released is now 2nd in command of Al qaeda in Yemen

I don't want to be involve in any immature name calling here, so I hope no commenter assumes I am for either party. As an business owner, history-lover, and simple observer I have to say that the man posting this is correct when he says Mr. Obama did have a hand in the economic collapse even though it was unintentional. The decisions made by the democrats at the time (even though the President was Republican) did have an ill effect on the housing market and banks. They wanted lower income families to have the American dream of owning their own homes and the experiment ultimately failed causing a domino of serious problems.
Please, before condemning a person as a right wing whatchamacallit or liberal whatever go back and reread history, at least understand why the current situation is extremely unsettling to some. The underlying values of our current President are neither left nor right...they are something very different and we might get more than we bargained for with this 'Change'

Facts Are Stubborn Things
Posted by Macon Phillips
Opponents of health insurance reform may find the truth a little inconvenient, but as our second president famously said, "facts are stubborn things."
Scary chain emails and videos are starting to percolate on the internet, breathlessly claiming, for example, to "uncover" the truth about the President’s health insurance reform positions.
In this video, Linda Douglass, the communications director for the White House’s Health Reform Office, addresses one example that makes it look like the President intends to "eliminate" private coverage, when the reality couldn’t be further from the truth.
For the record, the President has consistently said that if you like your insurance plan, your doctor, or both, you will be able to keep them. He has even proposed eight consumer protections relating specifically to the health insurance industry.
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.
Feel free to report me to Obama just send an email to flag@whitehouse.gov

And who first used the term "enemy combatant?" Franklin D. Roosevelt, Who imprisoned Japanese Americans by the hundreds of thousands in ww2. The term was also used when several Germans were captured off of long island in ww2 who were called by Roosevelt here we go again, "enemy combatants" who did not deserve rights hence they were not caught on a "battlefield" these men were captured and shot with no trial and kept quiet from the american public..

I love this shot.
I love how hopmaltyeast (a beer drinker?) can change the subject midstream.
He makes reference to wanting to decide how what little he has to spare gets spent.
Which is a precise, and therefore perfect, description of charity.
And he started talking about taxes.
Those who fail to see the difference in and between taxes and charity might also fail to see the difference in What Marx and Obama said.
