Hi friends, I've been away from flickr for a while but that doesn't mean I've had a break from photography. I've been working very hard to organise my photos to sell at the local markets the past couple of months. Now that I'm on holidays from work I've finally had the chance to upload a couple of photos. So anyway this shot is of a Jetty at Lake Illawarra, Australia. Shot late in the afternoon on an overcast day using a Canon 50D and the Canon EF-S 18-200mm IS lens. The reason for this title is because the petals remind me of a gas stove cook top when it is turned on with the flames etc. I had to get up nice and close to this flower, it is quite small. Shot hand held, I had to wait for breaks in the wind, take a few shots then pick myself up off the ground and brush the ants off me that I didn't realise I was laying on ahhh!
