    Tried to fix some of the color issues. I tried a white in the main content area, but it just didn't look right to me at all. The church loves it, but that's not really saying much :)

      I think it looks good. The one thing I'm not sure of is how announcement area is overlapping the header area. Have you tried just to make the announcement area part of the right column (so it's completely in the red area)?

      Other than that ... it's nice and clean and simple

      I like the layout, including the overlap. I'm not sure about are the photo corner/tabs on the Flash banner. They don't fit the overall feel of the site (vintage tabs in a smooth, web-2.0-ish layout). The alignment/justification on the lipsum text for the Events section is weird too. Either line the headings and text up with the icon in the Events heading or with the word Events. Same goes for the Services side. They should be consistent. You could probably do a little better on the bottom of the header with the black shadow and the line above the footer, but those are pretty subjective. Other than that, I really dig the feel you've got going. Nice job.
