It wasn't bad, actually - I just about believe that it was "naturally flavored." Plus, I liked the sunny spring color.

The white of the icing is so flat on these. I took some pictures of chocolate ones a while back and you can see the swirls are much more distinct. I've never seen these yellow ones. The chocolate ones tasted pretty bad (for a cupcake).

Thanks, Sam - I was pleasantly surprised to find that the orange oil they used wasn't the very last item on the ingredients list. Can't wait to see how well yours turn out. You could make them even cheerier with those darn smiley faces you do so well.
@Eli - thanks for the link - I totally agree about the swirls, though that may have something to do with my having to juggle both a book bag and an umbrella that day ;)

Orange ?! I thought they were lemon flavoured. That would have thrown me for a loop if I were to have tasted it. I'm equally surprised that orange oil was used and not some artificial flavouring. I guess these are their gourmet cupcakes. :-)
